Hi There
I think the Cases and the case escalation rules should be connected to contracts as well as accounts/contacts/assets, because very often you may have different contracts with diferent SLA's for the same account.
Let me do an example. I have Customer A who has bought Products U,V,W,X,Y and Z. For the the Products U,V and Y he has an SLA with 2h reaction Time, for the the Products W,X and Z he has an SLA with 4h Reaction time. The SLA should be kept as Contracts in Salesforce and the Cases and Escalation Rules should be connected to this SLA's rather than to the particular Assets (Products he bought). This would give me the possibility to cluster Assets in an SLA (Contract). Mention a Computer Service Center which provides services for an Account with hundreds of assets, you may not want to create an Escalation Rule based on all this Assets. Of course one can say, that you may setup some kind of an SLA-Type Field and set the Rule on this, but more and more you have individual SLA Negotiations and therefore this shoudl be based on contracts.
Is something like this on the roadmap? Or does someone has an idea on how to solve this? Do other users have the same problem?
Best Regards
